The WET Labs Water Quality Monitor (WQM) is a multi-parameter water quality instrument intended for extended deployments in coastal and in-shore applications.

Designed cooperatively between WET Labs and Sea-Bird Electronics, the WQM employs extensive anti-fouling systems to ensure that stable data is continually logged for months in biologically rich coastal waters.  The ability to deploy the WQM for extended periods eliminates potential data gaps and results in a significant savings in time and money due to the reduction in field visits.

WET Labs WQM Features

  • Using the WET Labs fluorometer-turbidity sensor and Seabird CTD/DO sensors, the WQM accurately measures:
            - Temperature
            - Salinity
            - Depth
            - Dissolved oxygen
            - Chlorophyll 
            - Turbidity or backscatter 
     
  • Advanced anti-fouling characteristics including: 
            - Bleach-injection system
            - Fresh sample flow pump
            - Anti-foulant cartridges
            - Light-blocked sample chambers
            - Extensive copper cladding
            - Bio-wiper for optics
